MANSEHRA: The Deputy Chairman Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority General Nadeem has said that all out efforts are being utilized to provide modern facilities to the people of quake-hit areas. While reviewing pace of work in quake-stricken areas during his visit on he said that concrete measures were being taken to achieve the target.
He was along with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Funds, Chief Executive Kamal Hayat and Representative of World Bank, Craft were inspected the projects being completed in quake-ravaged areas of Mansehra including Kotli Bala, Kotli, Badrocha, and Tambri.
On the occasion, they expressed their satisfaction over the pace of work being carried out
in quake affected areas. The Deputy Chairman ERRA said that all available resources were being utilized to complete the reconstruction projects in the affected areas. “I am happy to see the normal life coming back to quake hit areas and appreciate the courage of victims of October 8 devastated earthquake who actively engaged in the process of rebuilding their houses, “PPAF CE said.
He said that procedure of compensation of damaged houses was very difficult, however, he
added that with the financial assistance of World Bank and other organizations, the process
is being completed transparently. Later, the Deputy Chairman ERRA announced to reconstruct building of Primary school at Badrocha and metalling of Tambri road.
He assured to provide electricity in Badrocha area and in this connection, that matter
would be taken to PESCO authorities, he added. Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Funds with the cooperation of World Bank has distributed billions of rupees among the quake affected families.
Besides others, PPAF Chief Officer, Kamran Akbar, Sarhad Rural Support Program officials
Shakeel Ahmed, Nisar Khan, and others were also present on the occasion
